Space Chickens in Space

A 50 x 11 minute series co-produced by Disney EMEA and animated in Australia. The workflow involved extensive work in Toon Boom’s Storyboard Pro once the episode animatics were locked, to ensure the correct metadata was being sent to Studio Moshi in Australia.

Blue Zoo - Editor

I edited a brand new animation series called Q Pootle 5 for Blue Zoo, in association with Snapper Productions. We made 52 x 11min episodes, which were broadcast on CBeebies in the UK, as well as ABC in Australia, KiKA in Germany, VGTRK in Russia, YLE 2 in Finland, TG4 in Ireland, HOP!TV in Israel, and MTVA in Hungary.

The preschool series focussed on the adventures of an alien called Q Pootle 5 and his friends Oopsy, Stella, Eddi, Groobie, Ray, and Bud-D.

National Film and Television School (NFTS)

The National Film and Television School is the UK's national centre of excellence for postgraduate education. Our students are a talented, diverse, creative and enthusiastic bunch, making around a hundred productions a year under the guidance of tutors who are leaders in their own specialist fields.

The emphasis of the Editing curriculum is firmly on storytelling and the relationship between editor and director. Students learn to apply their craft to the demands of fiction, documentary and animation, creating visual narratives while working with sound, music and, where appropriate, special effects. Workshops with other departments develop concepts of visual storytelling, mise-en-scène, storyboarding, sound design, music and scriptwriting.
